Hood to Coast 2021 Volunteers
This year's Hood to Coast will be different than previous years. We will be serving food outside the cafeteria with a dining area under the covered play structure. There will be limited shower service and the sleeping area has been moved to an outdoor field near the play structure. All of these precautions have been taken to support a safer fundraising event. Good morning, Blue Jays! The month of August has arrived...which means we are approaching the beginning of the fall sports season! Two weeks from today all HS sports will begin practicing. This is the time to ensure that all physicals are up to date and that all registrations in FamilyID are complete. Our youth volleyball summer camp is coming up soon and it's not to late to get your child registered. Contact Jessica Miller and she will email you a registration link. We have decided to offer the camp to students entering 3rd grade as well!

Good morning Jewell. The 2021 OSAA moratorium week is July 25th through July 31st. No team activities or practices are allowed during this week. Fall practices will begin as early as August 16th...so please make sure all athletes have an up-to-date physical on file at the school. All athletic registrations will be available starting August 1st via FamilyID. Please contact Mr. Freeman or Emma if you have any concerns or questions. Excitement is starting to build for the 2021-2022 school year!

We would like to welcome new board members Lisa Payne and TJ Hecox to the Jewell School Board. They were sworn in at last night's board meeting.
Board Chair Mike Stahley and Vice Chair Mike Wammack were also sworn into office.

Jewell School is pleased to introduce Michael Wammack as our new assistant HS FB coach. Congratulations Coach Wammack!
Jewell School is partnering with Columbia Hospitality to host a hiring event for students, staff, and local residents. The event will take place in the Jewell School library on Wednesday, June 16th beginning at 3:30pm. There are part-time and full-time positions available, as well as seasonal and year-round work with great benefits. No appointments or resumes are necessary.

Due to Covid restrictions, we must limit capacity for Jewell's 2021 commencement ceremony. However, the event will be livestreamed on our Facebook page at 2pm on June 12th. Also check our Facebook page to find details about the drive-thru parade that begins at 3:30.
Congratulations to Mr. Pederson and his HS band kiddos for once again demonstrating their domination of the competition. Fantastic job!

Good morning. Our HS T&F athletes performed well at the state T&F meet this past weekend in La Grande and had a great time while positively representing Jewell. Official results are as follows. Congratulations, Blue Jays!

Place in the 4x100 Relay.
* Andy Valdez 6th Place in the 300m Hurdles.
* Brenna Shaw 9th Place in the Triple Jump.
* Andy Valdez 10th Place in the 200 Meters.
* Nick Nikander 13th Place in the 3000 Meters.
* Cyrus Blodgett 15th Place in the 110m Hurdles.
