A couple of months ago, two brilliant Jewell School teams, composed of last year’s fifth and sixth graders, engineered their way to victory by winning the "Most Creative" award in the international Recycle Regatta. The official results just came out, celebrating their incredible ingenuity in designing seaworthy vessels constructed entirely from recycled objects and items that otherwise would have been thrown away. Join us for the Jewell Spring Band Concert featuring our talented 5th–12th grade students! The concert will take place on Thursday, April 9 at 6:00 PM in the Jewell School Auditorium. Come enjoy an evening of music and support our student musicians as they showcase their hard work this season. Students should arrive by 5:40 PM, and families are encouraged to attend and celebrate their achievements. We look forward to seeing you there!

Oregon FFA State Convention was amazing! There were lots of giggles, good food, and new adventures. We had some long days, with sore feet, but the kids were always smiling at the end. Thank you to the students that stepped up to the challenge, to our volunteer Julie Cano for coming and shouldering so much support, Astoria's FFA Alumni and Supporters for paying for our Hotel Rooms!!, Tess and Charlie Hall from Astoria FFA for offering so much guidance and inspiration, and all the other humans helping to make this happen.
