Jewell School District #8 Announces an Opening for: School Board Member Position #1
There currently exists an opening for Position #1 on the Jewell School Board. The current Board would like you to consider representing Jewell families on the governing board. Applications will be available in the Jewell School main office and can be mailed or emailed by request, or you can download an application from the district website: jewell.k12.or.us. The following qualifications are required for eligibility as described in Clatsop County School District #8 (Jewell School District) policy BBBA (ORS 137.230-137.285, ORS 332.016-332.018, ORS 332.124-332.126).
The individual must be:
a) Resident of the District for one year at the time of appointment
b) 18 years of age or older
c) Qualified voter of the district
d) Not be an employee of Jewell School District #8
e) Attend the Board meeting and participate in the selection process
