Jewell School District is committed to supporting students and families experiencing housing instability through the McKinney-Vento Program. This federal program helps ensure that all students have equal access to a free and appropriate public education, regardless of their living situation. Students who may qualify include those living temporarily with others due to loss of housing, staying in motels or shelters, or lacking a fixed and regular nighttime residence.
Eligible students and families may receive support such as transportation assistance, school meals, school supplies, clothing, mentoring, and help connecting with community resources. If you believe your family may qualify or would like more information, please contact Suzanne Harris, Special Programs Director, at suzanneh@jewellk12.org. All inquiries are handled confidentially.
