Jewell School District Moving Back to Four Days a Week

Jewell Community,

Superintendent Phillips and the Jewell School Board believe that we can safely increase the amount of time our students attend school in person.

On Tuesday, February 16, we will start a new schedule. This schedule will allow  ALL students, PK-12, to come to school four days a week. Jewell School will continue to follow guidance provided by the Oregon Department of Education and the Oregon Health authority by having students in cohorts, assigning students seats on buses, and requiring facial coverings and social distancing, to name a few.

We are very grateful for the willingness of our students, staff, and parents in  following the guidelines that have been established. Our staff and students have done a wonderful job in keeping themselves and others safe while here at school. Because of their diligence we have been able to keep Jewell School clear of the COVID-19 virus. Because of their diligence we have proven that we can operate our school safely. Therefore, we will open up a full four day schedule starting at second semester; February 16, 2021.

We will post a new Q&A on our website or you can click the link HERE.

Lastly, I would like to thank the Jewell School Board for their trust in the school and their willingness to get our children back in school where they belong.

Thank you for your support,

Stephen W. Phillips, PhD.
